we recalls that in 2016 Democracy day broadcast, President Buhari delivered the speech behind four flags; 2 national flags, and 2 flags of Nigeria's armed forces – that symbolises the commander in chief of the armed forces.

But when, acting President Osinbajo delivered his May 29, 2017 democracy day speech, these armed forces' flags were missing, prompting suggestions that the acting president is not the commander in chief.
